Welcome to the website of the Wigan Independent Conservatives.
This site is the official website of the Wigan Independent Conservatives. One of the most asked question is, "what is an independent Conservative?" We are a group of people that have Conservative beliefs but feel that at a local level national and party politics should not get in the way of how things are decided. Whilst a government has the national importance, the local issue should matter more than party politics and therefore we have formed a new group on Wigan Council.
The Councillors are all Conservative but are not dictated to with the national policy therefore allowing them to put the people of Wigan before party.
Please feel free to look at the Councillors pages and see who there are and what they are doing for you. Also feel free to contact us with a problem/ issue, if you want to attend our meetings or join the party or you feel you want to help in any way or have any other comments.
